First batch production of 200 pieces due before end of 2024.
We completed the V5 designs and finished prototypes for these 2 stock adaptor designs at the start of 2024, but simply haven't had the funds available to get the first batch manufactured yet as we've been busy restocking major components of the KC-02 inventory and launching the G5 Zenith kit after 3 years of developement.
So we figured we may as well put the designs on pre-order as they are ready for manufacture and well-tested already!
We were disappointed with the weak, hollow plastic AEG tube stock adaptor that comes in the box with the G5. It fit badly and is an obvious weakpoint. So, in collaboration with Nycraft for his original design, we produced these 2 versions of a solid CNC billet aluminium stock adaptor that fits perfectly on the G5 and is extremely strong.
These adaptors are not folding, they are fixed in place and attach to the gun using the existing large steel pin and E-clip. We do not provide the big pin or any other hardware with these adaptors.
Available in 2 versions:
- AEG buffer tube style, which fits any standard AR/M4 type AEG buffer tube. The adaptor provides 25mm depth of M5 x 0.8 threads at the start of the boss, which opens up to a 7mm hole for the remaining 16mm of the adaptor thickness before you get to the back of the gun.
- 1913 rail style, this provides 45mm or 4 slots of standard RIS-rail section vertically on the back of the gun, for attaching MCX-style stocks, folding tanker stocks, additional sling points, or you could even put a scope on there for those max-hop shots I guess...
The adaptors will be professionally cerakoted in the 2 colours to match the G5:
- Graphite Black
- Magpul FDE - Tan.
The adaptors intentionally feature a very small amount of play behind the catch-side of the adaptor so that the user can shim the adaptor with a couple layers of black tape (if necessary) to ensure it is perfectly straight, as shown in the pictures. This is to account for injection molding variances in the GHK receivers.
These adaptors are also specifically designed to be compatible with the installation of a Zenith reinforcement kit, as shown in the pictures.
